Travelling to Villainville

AIRPORTS
Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG)

• Distance: ~190 km (118 miles), 2.5-3 hours driving.

• Route: Take the RER B train from CDG to Paris Gare Saint-Lazare. Transfer to a regional train (Transilien J or Intercités) to Le Havre. From Le Havre, take a taxi (25 min) or the LIA Bus Line 21 to Villainville. 

Paris Orly (ORY)

• Distance: ~200 km (124 miles).

• Route: Take the OrlyBus to Denfert-Rochereau, then Metro Line 4 to Gare Saint-Lazare. Follow the train route to Le Havre as above. ~3 hours

• Alternatively, rent a car at Orly for a direct 2-hour drive via the A13 and A29 motorways.

Rouen Airport (Boos)

• Distance: ~67 km (42 miles).

• Route: No direct public transport. The most efficient method is to take a taxi or shuttle to Rouen Rive Droite train station, then a train to Le Havre, followed by a local bus or taxi to Villainville. ~2 hours

• Driving/Taxi/Uber directly takes about 50 minutes via the A29.

FERRY
Port of Le Havre (Terminal de la Citadelle)

• Distance: ~26 km (16 miles).

• Connection: Served by Brittany Ferries (from Portsmouth, UK).

• Last Mile: Exit the terminal and take a taxi (25–30 mins) to Villainville.

• Drive via the A29 motorway (Exit 9 Criquetot-l'Esneval/Étretat).

• Public transport requires traveling into Le Havre city center to catch the Bus Line 21. 

TRAIN
Le Havre Station (Gare du Havre)

• Distance: ~25 km (15.5 miles).

• This is the primary rail hub for Villainville.

• Last Mile: Take the LIA Bus Line 21 (direction Étretat) directly from the station front to the Mairie-École stop in Villainville (approx. 56 mins).

• A taxi/Uber takes only 25 minutes.

BUS
LiA Line 21 (Le Havre Seine Métropole) connects Le Havre (Gares) to Étretat (Le Grandval).

• Stops: It serves Villainville (stop: Mairie-École or Route d'Étretat) and Étretat directly, passing through intermediate villages, including Criquetot-l'Esneval and Gonneville-la-Mallet.

• Frequency: Operates approximately once per hour daily from roughly 06:00 to 21:00 (starting at 08:00 on Sundays).

• Fare: Approximately €1.80 per ticket (payable in cash on board or via the LiA app).

Villainville

There are several gites located in and around Villainville, and on the way to Étretat.
