Dragon and Tiger is a 1,500-year-old self-healing, medical qigong system from China. Renowned for its ability to help practitioners quickly feel their qi and learn how to adjust their practice to heal a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, this is an excellent practice to relax and soften the body, release stress, and systematically build excellent health and vitality.

In the seven exercises of Dragon and Tiger, you flow seamlessly from one exercise to the next, and in so doing, stir up and release the stagnancies and blockages that otherwise bind your system. If left unaddressed over time, these tensions and stuck places can cause illness, disease and injury.


WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

In this six-day retreat, you will learn:

  • The physical mechanics of the seven exercises of Dragon and Tiger.

  • The associated breathing sequence for Dragon and Tiger.

  • Qi-development practices of Dragon and Tiger.


Receive a comprehensive introduction to Dragon and Tiger Qigong and, for those who already practice the art, including those taking part in my medical qigong online program, receive personal input to take your practice to the next level.


Beginners are welcome and will learn the whole Dragon and Tiger set, as well as an array of internal (neigong) and energetic techniques that you can train following to hone and deepen the effectiveness of your practice.


Existing and advanced practitioners will be guided through a process for weeding out their weaknesses, and deepening, balancing and refining their practice to upgrade the results they receive from training this effective medical qigong system.


Weekend-only Option

You may attend for the weekend only for an introduction to Dragon and Tiger Qigong and to learn the physical mechanics and the beginning qi techniques of the seven exercises.


Six-day Retreat

Participants who attend the retreat will be exposed to various aspects of practice, including:

  • Set-by-step instructions on the movements and transitions.

  • Qi-sensitising exercises. 

  • How to contact, manipulate and increase the strength of their etheric field.

  • Contacting the energy of the skin and moving qi through the skin.

  • Contacting the wei qi and moving qi through the channels (meridian lines).

  • The differences and benefits of brushing versus pulling and pushing qi.

  • Using the breath and the mind to amplify the quantity of qi in circulation.

  • How to transition from one move to the next in order to carry forwards the qi from the previous move and increase that qi in the next.

  • How to adapt your Dragon and Tiger practice when you are ill or injured in order to aid recovery.

Prospective Instructors

TTCS teachers, teacher-trainees and prospective teachers will receive 9 hours training credit for the weekend seminar or 27 hours for the retreat towards prerequisite in-person training hours.
